34 microscope workstations for medical students

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Warsaw has commissioned a state-of-the-art microscopy lab. Equipped with multimedia technology from EBS, students benefit from networked workstations for working, research and learning.

Warsaw University Microscopy Lab Overview

Challenge

34 microscopes and screens were to be networked multimedia-wise. The live work of a student at the microscope was to be transmitted latency-free in sound and image to all connected screens – in high resolution, in real time and at the touch of a button.

Solution

The alphadidact® Digital system from EBS networks the microscopes and screens. The technology enables image transmission from the digital microscope cameras to all monitors as well as to projectors and large-format displays. According to the university's IT department, the system is extremely reliable and easy to use.
