34 microscope workstations for medical students

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Warsaw has opened a state-of-the-art microscopy lab. Thanks to its EBS multimedia technology, students benefit from networked workstations for work, research and learning.

Warsaw University Microscopy Lab Overview

Challenge

The task was to link 34 microscopes and screens in a multimedia network. A student's live work at the microscope was to be transmitted latency-free, with sound and image, to all connected screens – in high resolution, in real time and at the touch of a button.

Solution

The alphadidact® Digital system from EBS networks the microscopes and screens. The technology enables image transmission from the digital microscope cameras to all monitors as well as to projectors and large-format displays. According to the university's IT department, the system is extremely reliable and easy to use.
